Start
number collection
On the 30th June from 1pm until 6pm in the finish
arena at the sport centre in the climbing hall in Imst

July from 6.00 am until 6.30 am in the finish arena at the sport
centre in the climbing hall in Imst.
Shuttle
bus / Parking
Every participant that leaves their car in Imst can have
a free transfer at 6.45am from the swimming pool (approx. 200 metres away from
the finish arena) to the start of the marathons. There is also a free shuttle
bus from the swimming pool in Imst on the 1st July at approx. 3.00 pm to Mandarfen.
Following the prize giving the participants that have left their cars in Mandarfen,
can ride with the shuttle bus from the swimming pool Imst (approx. 200 metres away
from the finish arena) to the marathon starting point. For the participant I,II
and III it's possible to take the local bus to get to Imst or the bus at the end
of the event.

Changing
Options / Baggage transportThe WC at the Rifflsee lift will be available
to the competitors as a changing room. Competitors can also get changed at the
designated signed hotels. The baggage will be marked with the start number and
transferred to the finish arena in Imst. No responsibility can be accepted for
the transport of baggage. Changing rooms and showers are located in the
finish arena. The changing rooms and shower cubicles at the sport centre
Imst can be used.

Route
/ Altitude profileThe Marathon starts in Mandarfen and runs through the
Pitztal valley. After 42,195 Km the competitors reach the finish line that is
situated at the sport centre in Imst. It is reinforced that the marathon is run
mostly on main roads and that they are only partly closed to traffic. The police
and voluntary helpers will be organising some road closures, diversions and implicating
safety measures where needed. View route:

Controll point:
All participants who haven't reached the controll point in Wenns (31 km) at 12.30am will not be allowed to carry on with the competition.
Finishing time:
All participants
that haven't reached the finish line at 2.30pm will not be listed in the official
results.. Time keeping: The timing is provided from
Pentek-timing in relation with the champion chip. Chips from Mika timing can also
be used at this event.
Participants that do not have a chip can collect
a yellow chip at the start number collection point in return for a € 33,-
deposit. (Euro 30,- deposit + Euro 3 rental). The deposit (Euro 30) will be
reimbursed after the event in the finish arena when the chip is returned. Chips
that are not returned will be assumed to have been bought and can be used at further
events worldwide.
WITHOUT A CHIP IS A TIME MEASUREMENT NOT POSSIBLE!
The timing system only recognises yellow or black champion chips, all
other chips and other coloured chips will not be recognised.
Medical service
/ race doctor : Red cross Imst Safety and race attendants : Police, Fire service
and different clubs. Massage : is on offer in the finish arena at the sport
centre and is free.
Disqualification: By bad sportsmanship (taking
short cuts, disobeying instructions from officials) participants can be disqualified.
The normal traffic rules apply and participants that run on the left hand side
of the roads will be strictly dealt with. The organiser has the right to disqualify
any participants that run on the left hand side of the road without reimbursing
their entry fee.
Participant terms and conditions:
The
organiser or representatives of this event accept no responsibility for any damages,
accidents or injuries of any type that may possibly occur caused by deliberate
or gross negligence in the participation in the Gletschermarathon Pitztal-Imst
2012.
This is also true for the sponsors, the individual towns and the
town Imst. I accept that for the participation in this competition I have trained,
am physically fit and that my health has been certified by a doctor. I understand
that my registration data, photos that are made, video recordings and interviews
in radio, television, books, photomechanised duplication, can be used and passed
on. I insure that my date of birth and personal best time are correct and that
my start number will not be passed on to another person. I accept that i can be
disqualified if I leave the marked route, change the start number in any way especially
if i hide or change the sponsors print. If i do not compete, if the event is cancelled
or by an interruption by the acts of gods then i have no entitlement for a reimbursement
of my entry fee. It is also forbidden that participants take a dog as companionship.
Spectators on the other hand are welcomed so long as the dogs are kept on leads.
The organiser can make minor changes to the time scheduling if need be.
With
the payment of the entry fee declares every participant that they understand the
rules of the competition. It will be reinforced again that the marathon routes
will be mostly run on the Pitztaler main road and that the traffic will only be
partly closed. The police and volunteers will be in charge of the necessary road
closures and safety measures. In the event of any damage or theft, can no responsibility
be accepted. The start is at ones own risk and every participant is responsible
